Night Vision Devices Dual Gain Binocular Night Vision Device (BNVD) is a full featured, dual tube system weighing less than 560 grams, available in both white phosphor and green phosphor. It is auto-gated to reduce blooming from extreme light exposure and is available in single gain or dual gain control options to adjust the brightness seen through the tubes. The Ultralightweight BNVD utilizes a single AA battery, generating more than 40 hours of operational run time, or more than double the operational time of a PVS-31. Durability is assured with a water resistance rating of 20 meters for up to 3 hours. Other critical features include a critical 9.8" close focus range and a full diopter adjustment range from -6 to +2 to allow adjustment for the widest range of operators. The single gain variant uses tactical monocular cutoff technology allowing the user to turn off a single tube by flipping it into the stowed position.
